May the fourth got more special as Star Wars returns with The Bad Batch, an animated series forming part of the slate of Lucasfilm along with titles of Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Rangers of the New Republic, Rogue Squadron, and an unnamed Taika Waititi film on Disney+. A question arises, though, on whether Star Wars: The Bad Batch would be on Netflix.
Both a sequel to Star Wars: The Clone Wars and a spin-off, the animated series follows The Bad Batch, also known as Clone Force 99, is a group of five elite clone troopers, Sergeant Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, Tech, and Crosshair, with genetic mutations as revealed in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and they are taking on various mercenary missions by the end of the Clone War.
With a voice cast of Dee Bradley Baker for all the clone troopers, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, and Andrew Kishino as Saw Gerrera, Michelle Ang as Omega, and Stephen Stanton as Grand Moff Tarkin, Star Wars: The Bad Batch is produced by the same producers of The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Clone Wars with Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, and Jennifer Corbett.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch has 16 episodes in line which releases new episodes every Friday at 3:00 AM on Disney+ and its premiere episode is made special as it is a 70-minute episode, more than the episode length is the release date of the first episode which is on Star Wars Day, May 4th, on a Tuesday. This results in having two Star Wars: The Bad Batch episodes in just one week, how exciting is that, right?
Is Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Netflix?
So, is it on Netflix? Unfortunately, Star Wars: The Bad Batch is not available on Netflix as it is exclusively streaming on Disney+ which means that it will not be on Amazon Prime, nor Hulu, and neither on HBO Max. It will only be on Disney+ like The Mandalorian's first two seasons.
A subscription to Disney+ costs $7.99 a month, or $79.99 a year. With an active subscription, you can get Star Wars titles under the said streaming platform for no additional costs, except, maybe, when Disney+ releases any film or title under the Disney Premier Access Plus, but thankfully, that is not the case of Star Wars: The Bad Batch so just an active subscription will do.
As for Netflix, though it does not have in its library Star Wars: The Bad Batch, being a well-known streaming platform for films, series, and even anime, there is a lot you can access for a subscription cost of $8.99 per month for the basic plan, $13.99 monthly for the standard plan, and $17.99 a month for the premium plan.
Catch the latest episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch every Friday on Disney+ and if you haven't watched the first episode, it is already up in there. May the Force be with you!
