People confirmed from the official records that Jackman and Furness have officially divorced.

According to the court records from New York's Suffolk County Supreme Court, the judgment of the divorce was filed last June 12, and the case is now listed as "Disposed."

The divorce filing also indicated that the terms of their divorce were uncontested. It only needs a sign-off from a judge.

So far, neither Jackman nor Furness has released any official statements following the reports of their divorce.

It was Furness who filed the couple's divorce, which took place last month. They shared two children together, who are both adults now.

Why Did Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness Divorce?

Jackman and Furness didn't share any specific reason for why they decided to divorce when their separation was announced.

In a joint statement that they released in September 2023, they explained that they "decided to separate to pursue our individual growth" and they "undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness."

However, when Furness filed for divorce, she teased in a statement that she was undergoing a "traumatic journey of betrayal."

"It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however, I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us," she said.

"This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose."

Furness continued, "It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values, and boundaries is liberation and freedom."

Earlier this year, Jackman and his The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster were also spotted holding hands publicly. There have been speculations from fans that it might have a connection to the divorce.
