Tom Holland recently opened up about how the fan reactions on the internet are shaping Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Fans have been looking forward to seeing the next Spider-Man in the MCU, which is expected to be a fresh start for the beloved web-slinger. Production is currently ongoing for the film ahead of its release in theaters next year. Several set photos and videos have also surfaced on social media since filming began in the summer.
How Did the Internet Reactions Affect Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
In an interview with LADbible, Holland revealed that he has been reviewing the internet's reactions to gauge what fans want to see in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Afterwards, he would pitch some of the fan ideas to the studio executives and see if they could be integrated into the movie.
"What’s been really fun about this most recent movie is designing the suit and being a part of that process and understanding what we wanted to try and achieve," the actor said.
"I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that’s been my driving force in these pitch meetings."
Holland continued, "I think the producers, at times, were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it’s really important, because we make these movies for [the fans]."
While he didn't specify which fan ideas he suggested to the studio, it still highlights how Holland is committed to making sure that Brand New Day will satisfy a lot of fans, including the upgraded suit.
