Fans have been constantly talking about Netflix's The Witcher so imagine everyone's surprise when lead star Henry Cavill decided to release a bunch of official images from the show. We get to see an epic look at Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, looking mighty fine by the way, along with great looks at Yennifer and Cirilla aka Ciri. It's a goldmine of content and Cavill gets a ton of brownie points for it.
Then again, this was probably a business move done by the studio but semantics.
Simply put, it's clear that the movie's production designers did a lot of research since the characters look amazing. Cavill's Geralt looks almost exactly like he does in the video games, while Yennifer and Ciri don't look far off from what they looked like as well. Granted, fans who began with The Witcher 3 might wonder why Ciri has blonde hair but that can always change.
It's also worth noting that the series' tagline right now is "The Worst Monsters Are The Ones We Create." This will obviously relate to whatever the series' main storyline will be but what that is isn't known yet. All we can do is geek out over how great the costumes are and hope that the production designers get one hell of a payday for what they did.
Netflix's The Witcher doesn't have a proper release date but is expected to premiere this Fall.
