  • Quick Answer: One Piece Season 2 releases March 10, 2026. It covers the Loguetown through Drum Island arcs, featuring new cast members like Joe Manganiello as Crocodile.

Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 is almost here, and aside from Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the rest of his crew returning, a major Season 1 villain is also set to make a comeback.

The Straw Hats will finally enter the Grand Line in search of the One Piece treasure they’ve been pursuing. But before they can do that, they must stop in Loguetown, where they’re set to encounter a new group of villains, including returning Season 1 antagonist Buggy the Clown.

Buggy

Just when everyone thought Buggy (Jeff Ward) was finished after the Straw Hats defeated him in Orange Town and Nami (Emily Rudd) trapped his separated body parts in different treasure chests in Season 1, he managed to recover and reassemble himself.

From being nothing more than a head in a cage, Buggy became whole again and forged an alliance with Alvida (Ilia Isorelýs Paulino).

Now vowing revenge, Buggy returns in Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 to “bug” Luffy and the rest of his crew once more.

In fact, the new season’s trailer offers a brief glimpse of him. While it doesn’t reveal much about his role, his comeback certainly doesn’t bode well for the Straw Hats.

Determined to settle the score, Buggy follows the young pirates to Loguetown. There, he and Luffy will cross paths again and this time, Buggy is ready to teach him a lesson and give him the hardest time of his life before he enters the Grand Line.

One Piece Season 2

Netflix’s One Piece Season 2 will see Luffy and the Straw Hats, Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami, Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar), finally venturing into the iconic Grand Line.

“At the end of the first season, our characters made this pledge around a barrel to achieve their dreams,” showrunner Joe Tracz told Tudum. “We’re going to see how those dreams are put to the test. Every place they stop in the Grand Line is going to test one of the Straw Hats in a unique way. And they’re going to learn that if they’re going to fulfill their dreams, they have to have each other’s backs.”

But not everything will be smooth sailing. The crew will be pursued by Buggy and Alvida’s pirate gangs, both seeking revenge and the 30 million berry reward. And they aren’t the only pirates they’ll encounter.

With the new season’s massive cast list, Luffy and the crew will face several enemies along the way, including Marines Smoker (Callum Kerr), Tashigi (Julia Rehwald), and Mr. 0 (Joe Manganiello), along with his motley crew from the Baroque Works criminal organization.

However, enemies aren’t the only ones they’ll meet in Season 2. The crew will also make new friends like Dr. Kureha (Katey Sagal) and Tony Tony Chopper, as they traverse key locations from Eiichiro Oda’s manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Island, and Drum Island.

One Piece Season 2 is set to be released on March 10 on Netflix.
