Guardians of the Galaxy #5 Preview Shows Nobody in Comics Stays Dead, What Else is New?

Guardians of the Galaxy #4 shocked fans when the issue seemingly killed off MCU star and lead character Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. The character's presence in the MCU has made him a much bigger name to comic book fans, to the point that writers have actually adapted several of his characteristics from the movies to comic books.

So, it makes sense that he wouldn't actually die…

During Bleeding Cool's preview of Guardians of the Galaxy #5, it's revealed right away that Peter survived the shot that seemingly killed him. However, a talking Groot reveals that Peter is fine, though the Guardian claims that his ribs feel broken. Still, this does prove that comic book death is something fans should stop feeling upset over, though the recent passing of Wolfsbane proves that a bad killing can get people riled up.

It's also worth noting that the second arc of Donnie Cates' Guardians of the Galaxy is called The Death of Rocket Raccoon, though fans might want to take that with a grain of salt if this "death" is anything to go by. Depending on how that's done, it could be an emotional rollercoaster for some and a dull storyline for others.
