It has been a long wait but the first trailer for Godzilla vs Kong is finally here. Luckily, it doesn't disappoint as we immediately get to see the two behemoths in one of the biggest battles in cinematic history.
The trailer opens with a city being destroyed. Although it isn't revealed who the culprit is, we get to see the unconscious Kong chained up and being taken away by the military.
"This is our only chance. We have to take it," Nathan Lind (Alexander Skarsgard) says. "We need Kong."
But why do we need Kong in the first place? Although it isn't revealed, it is suggested that the giant ape is being taken to a safe place along with the young girl he has formed a bond with. However, disaster soon strikes their journey.
Kong's voyage is disrupted by Godzilla, who unexpectedly attacks the ship. The attack leads to an epic fight between the two behemoths that somehow ends up on land as well. But who will win in this fight? The truth will be revealed this March.

Godzilla vs Kong is directed by Adam Wingard and also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. The film will premiere in selected theaters and on HBO Max on March 26.
