Game Of Thrones Star Reveals Stories Of Sexual Harassment From Fans

Game of Thrones fans can be pretty intense, but it seems like some have crossed some very dangerous lines, sexually harassing some the fantasy epic's stars.

One of the popular HBO fantasy series' stars, Daniel Portman, the actor behind Podric Payne, has recently spoken in an interview with Esquire revealing that he'd been sexually assaulted by fans over the last few years.

Portman might not be a lead star, however his character has become more popular over the years as Podrick goes around with fan favourites like Peter Dinklage's Tyrion Lannister and Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth. Podrick has earned a reputation as a ladie's man with his very capable sexual drive, something which seems to have influenced fans' reaction towards him.

"I've been grabbed by so many [people]," Portman revealed tom saying that most of these fans have been "older women."

"What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it," Portman explained. "It hasn't happened for a while. In this day and age you'd think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction. I don't want to say it comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It's certainly not cool."

Still, as dangerous as sexual harassment can be, Portman admits that he doesn't really hate the stigma that comes with Podrick who's pretty popular among Westerosi women.

"It's really not a bad thing, to be tied to your character," he added. "When you tell a 20-year-old actor, who's sort of stumbled onto this big TV show, that all of a sudden you're meant to be Casanova, people all over the world wonder whether or not it's true. I would be lying if I said that that hadn't been fun."

Of course, fans should still know their boundaries. As much as Portman says that he actually enjoys being Game of Thrones' Casanova, that doesn't mean that fans should go around groping the actor. There are limits and lines that shouldn't be crossed.

Game of Thrones airs every Sunday 9 pm PT on HBO.
