Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3: Here's The Truth About Arya Stark's Shocking Moment [SPOILERS]

Just when you thought you had Game of Thrones all figured out, the series throws out an absolute shocker that nobody expected. Arya Stark has once again proven that she is one of the most unpredictable characters in the HBO show and fans are absolutely loving it.

WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers. If you haven't seen Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, now is the best time to turn back!

In The Long Night, Arya once again proved that she is a truly skilled warrior. However, the sheer number of undead coming towards her somehow unnerves Arya and makes her flee into the castle. As she escapes, she encounters the Hound and Melisandre as Beric Dondarrion dies in front of her.

The reunion with Melisandre should have been a bad thing for Arya, right? However, it has an interesting effect on her. Melisandre reminds her of what the Red Woman had previously told Arya about shutting eyes forever then asking her Syrio Forel's favorite line: "What do we say to the God of Death?" Arya knows the answer. "Not today," she replies before leaving the room.

As it turns out, Arya has a different mission in The Long Night. She heads out to Godswood and attacks the Night King, effectively killing the villain. How's that for a surprise attack?

The revelation that Arya would be the one to kill the Night King was truly a shocking one but it has long been planned by the executive producers. David Benioff and DB Weiss revealed that they had always wanted Arya to be the one to defeat the Night King instead of someone obvious like Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen.
