Game of Thrones' is finally making its way back to HBo next month, and fans are eagerly waiting to know what's to come in the eighth and final season of the fantasy epic series. HBO has been very careful to keep spoilers at bay, but that hasn't stopped fans from throwing around all sorts of strange theories online.
One of the newest theories comes from Game Spot. Take a closer look at the full trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8, this new theory breaks down that moment where Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is running through the crypts of Winterfell. It's clear that Arya is being chased, but by what? Could it be a new enemy?
This theory suggests that there's a high chance that we're going to get to see Ned Stark (Sean Bean), this time as one of the undead. Wouldn't it be a riot seeing the reanimated corpse of Arya's father chasing her down the Crypts of Winterfell?
Knowing that the Night King is marching down south in the eighth season of Game of Thrones, there's a possibility that we'll see the dead in Winterfell coming back to life.
However, Ned's involvement in the last season of the series all depends on whether his bones are being buried in the Crypts. In George R.R. Martin's novels, Tyrion Lannister sends Ned's remains to Catelyn Stark at Riverrun. Later she sends Hallis Molen and her group of Silent Sisters back to Winterfell to make sure Ned is buried there. The series has long since diverged from Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series though, so we'll never really know till GOT returns.
Game of Thrones returns with Season 8 on April 14 on HBO.
