Game of Thrones: Did Jon Snow Just Foreshadow His Death?

As fans wait for the third episode of Game of Thrones season 8, they have been deconstructing every scene that has passed by. The second episode had a couple of noteworthy scenes that got everyone buzzing, from Arya Stark's sex scene to a touching reunion between Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy. However, the ending may have foreshadowed something dark since Jon Snow did the one thing a Stark always does before he dies; being honorable to your enemy.

Mashable discussed how Ned Stark, Robb Stark, and other members of the bloodline have divulged an inconvenient truth or a show of honor before dying horribly. Ned Stark was beheaded when he could have lived and Robb Stark, along with his wife and unborn child, were a part of the infamous Red Wedding.

What did Jon Snow do? Tell Daenerys that he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

So uh, Jon is dying isn't he? Okay, that might be an oversimplification and he might end up defying his fate. After all, he already died once and was brought back from the grave so there's a good chance that he will stay above it. For now anyway.

Then again, his family could also suffer from his actions. Whether it be Arya, Sansa, or even Theon, they could all end up suffering, which is sad since they've been through enough.

Game of Thrones airs weekly on HBO and streams on HBO GO.
