Galactus has finally made his much-awaited debut in Fantastic Four: First Steps. And while many believe he has been targeting young Franklin Richards, it appears the MCU has already revealed his next target that nobody noticed.
Sure, the World Eater was teleported far away when the movie ended, but he will surely return for revenge after being left alive. So, who could be his next victim?
Who Will Be Galactus’ Next Victim in the MCU?

In the comics, Galactus isn’t only a planet eater; he also has a place in the cosmic ecosystem. In fact, he has had discussions and confrontations with other cosmic entities: Eternity, Oblivion, and Death.
Does it ring a bell? If not, it just so happens that Death is also now part of the MCU. If you missed it, Aubrey Plaza introduced her version of Death in Agatha All Along, making her character and Galactus both MCU canon.
While her version of the character is relatively new, only a few details are known about her. However, it is famously known that she helped create the Infinity Stones alongside Eternity, Infinity, and Entropy.
But as these three haven’t been physically introduced in the MCU yet, this makes Galactus and Death two of the most powerful characters currently in the franchise.
And knowing their long and storied history in the comics, not to mention their relative power, it’s not far-fetched that the MCU will feature them together, with Galactus possibly seeking out Death to end his hunger after his weariness in Fantastic Four: First Steps.
What is Galactus and Death’s Connection in Marvel Comics?

While Death is famously associated with Thanos in Marvel Comics, she has also been connected to Galactus.
Sure, Death has reassured Galactus after ending numerous lives, making him a personification of death, but they’re not always in complete agreement with each other.
In fact, Galactus sees himself as above Death. If the MCU makes this story canon, it may create a conflict between the two that could lead to an explosive confrontation.
Anyhow, it remains to be seen what the franchise’s next step will be now that these two cosmic entities are in the MCU.
They may either share the same relationship they have in the comics or not. Death’s connection with Thanos in the comics also remains uncertain in the movie universe.
Anyhow, if Death and Galactus’ faceoff happens on the big screen, it will surely be a sight to behold and Fantastic Four: First Steps may have just set it up, even if it still needs a little justification.
