- Quick Answer: Victoria Javadi is moving to her psychiatry rotation in Season 3, swapping the high-stakes ER for a fresh medical focus alongside a deeper mental health narrative.
One of the stars of The Pitt recently revealed a major shift for her fan-favorite character in the upcoming third season. Will she be leaving the ER?
With the second season ending its run last April, fans are now looking forward to the third season, which is set to begin filming soon. We're already hearing some major changes among the cast and clues on what the setting will be for its next chapter. Now, it looks like one of the main characters will be having a massive shift when we see her again next year.
What is Victoria Javadi's Role in The Pitt Season 3?

In a recent interview with Bustle, Shabana Azeez, who plays Victoria Javadi, confirmed that she will be returning in the third season of The Pitt. However, her character will not be part of the ER action.
"I’m not in the ER this season. I’ve done my ER rotation, so I’m doing my psychiatry rotation," she said. "It’s a very different vibe for me. And I’m scared and nervous. But it’s an honor to be able to show that part of medicine."
However, Azeez did not share any specific reasons why her character will be taking a different path next season, although the second season finale suggested that Javadi was having an epiphany about which path she would like to take.
While this might be some sort of sad news for fans, at the very least, we have an assurance that Victoria Javadi will still have a presence in the third season, although she may have limited screen time given that she's not part of the ER.
It also aligns with Noah Wyle's remarks in a previous interview with Vanity Fair, where he teased that the third season will explore more of his character's mental health journey.
He said, "Season 3 is the doctor is the patient. Season 2, doctors don’t make good patients. Season 3, doctors benefit from being patients. So that’s really where our head is at now: We’re watching this mental health journey take place from total denial to acceptance of a problem to baby steps up and out of his proverbial pit. That’s what we’re working on.
What to Expect in The Pitt Season 3

The Pitt Season 3 will take place in November, and it is also set to incorporate colder weather into its storylines. Just like the previous seasons, it will explore a 15-hour shift at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.
The series is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.
The main cast includes Noah Wyle (Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch), Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi), and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).
