It's fair to say that the upcoming Pokemon: Detective Pikachu film has the world's attention, with many hoping that this is going to be the first good movie based on a video game. Fans are also hoping that the film spawns a bunch of cool merchandise, like the limited edition set of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (Pokemon TCG).
Thanks to Serebii and Pokemon.com, we got our first look at the Detective Pikachu set of Pokemon trading cards and they look pretty sweet if we're being honest. The first three cards revealed from the set are Detective Pikachu (of course), Charizard GX, and Greninja GX. We have to say that the realistic style of these Pokemon fit the TCG really well and we hope that the other cards have this art style as well.

Also announced are the special Case File sets of these cards, along with a Collector Chest that will presumably have all of these cards. They look beautiful and should get us geeks running into gaming stores as soon as a release date is announced for them. Knowing how marketing works, these will likely come out when the film is released.

Here's the rundown for all the sets:
Pokemon: Detective Pikachu comes out on May 10.
