Ewan McGregor recently opened up about his ideas for the potential season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi including a flashback to the Clone Wars era.
So far, Lucasfilm has not announced any plans to do a second season of the hit series, but McGregor has continuously expressed his interest to do another season and explore more of his iconic character.
Considering that there are still several years between the events of the series and A New Hope, fans remain hopeful that it will continue as there is still a way for Lucasfilm to tell more stories of the Jedi Master without affecting the canon.
Ewan McGregor Teases Clone Wars Idea for Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2
In his recent appearance at a panel at Los Angeles Comic Con, McGregor teased that he is "exploring" ideas for the potential second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
According to Jamie Jirak, who attended the event, the actor shared that "he wants to wear the Clone Wars armor and do more flashbacks with Hayden Christensen."
As expected, the crowd went "insane" after hearing McGregor's remarks on the panel.
We have seen in Ahsoka that the live-action Star Wars shows are open to doing flashbacks set in the Clone Wars era so it is not a bad idea worth considering for the potential season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In addition, it would be awesome to see McGregor wear a Clone Wars armor in live-action as the Jedi Master as we have not seen him in that costume yet in the franchise.
However, Lucasfilm needs to give a green light first for the second season before we consider these ideas, but it is exciting that McGregor is teasing that they might have had discussions on how they will continue the series.
