While the main character of the story is Emily Carey's Harriet Manners navigating the fashion industry, fans also happened to be most captivated by her Agent, Wilbur, played by Emmanuel Imani on Netflix's Geek Girl.
So, who is the actor and where have you seen him before? Well, get to know more about him here!
Geek Girl's Agent Draws the Most Attention From Fans
Harriet Manners wouldn't have moved forward in her career, had she not met her fairy godmothers/agents who recruited her in fashion, Wilbur Evans (played by Emmanuel Imani) and Betty (Hebe Beardsall).
From the very beginning, Wilbur and Betty have been keeping an eye out for anyone who could stand out from the rest of the common crowds on their shows, and by the premiere of Geek Girl, they somehow pick Harriet, who accidentally knocked over the designed pieces for the runway.
Wilbur saw a spark of potential in Harriet, which Betty jumps on and agrees with, and he has always been pushing her out of her comfort zone so that she, too, could fully live the experience of eventually becoming a full-time model.
This explains why he stood out among the rest of the cast, considering he made the once-known 'geek girl' the star of the show, as fans have shared:
Fans have continuously cheered, hoping for more moments of Wilbur could be seen in the following seasons of Geek Girl, should a season 2 be greenlit on Netflix. But did you know? Wilbur Evans wasn't the first queer character he's played in his career so far.

Where You Might Know Emmanuel Imani From
Emmanuel Imani is a Nigerian actor who has been doing plays at school since he was around 7-8 years old but admittedly has only taken acting seriously when he turned 17.
Imani was inspired by the many actors he admired in Nollywood movies he would watch with his mother, which includes Ramsey Nouah, Stella Damasus, Jide Kosoko, among other names he previously mentioned.
Imani is best known for his roles in Hold the Dark flick as a Medic and CIA Agent #2 in the 2016 movie, Criminal. As for shows, he has been Florence Karamera in Black Earth Rising, Ihvon in The Wheel of Time, and most prominently, Simon Richards in Riches.
Simon Richards is the first gay character he's played and he was psyched to work through the role, as he previously said, Simon was "a pleasure to depict."
"As a queer man, I felt seen and empowered when I was given the chance to not only breathe my essence into Simon Richards but I was constantly consulted on his portrayal," Imani added, "Hollywood doesn't always want queer people involved in queer conversations, so I'm grateful to Riches for placing truth above all else."
