Dragon Ball Super recently made headlines thanks to the Japanese theatrical release of its latest movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, but fans who didn't check the leaked spoilers from Toei Animation's highly-anticipated anime movie still have a lot of questions about what they can expect to see when it hits theaters in other regions this summer.
One of the biggest questions fans have been asking since the trailers were released is, "What Piccolo's new form is called?". Now, we have an answer thanks to series creator Akira Toriyma, so read below if you want to know, but here's a friendly warning that this article contains major spoilers from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
As many fans already know, Piccolo unlocks more than one power-up during his battles in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. The strongest Namekian in the universe unlocks his Potentialy Unleashed form towards the beginning of the film, but he gets another transofrmation in the movie. Piccolo's latest form is called Orange Piccolo.
As you can see in the official image released recently, Orange Piccolo has orange skin and his physique looks bulkier. The name of Piccolo's new form was offiically confirmed by Akira Toriyama in a recent note to fans.
Toriyama went on to say that Piccolo is still his favorite character because of the Namekian's stoicism. It's been a long time since the series showed a new form for Piccolo, and finally, they will get to see Orange Piccolo in action when Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero comes out in theaters in North America and other regions, starting in August.
