Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Reveals Names of New Characters

Today, Toei Animation has shared the first trailer for the new Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie as well as a bunch of new information about the highly-anticipated film at the anime's NYCC 2021 panel from the Main Stage. The clip highlighted the film's unique animation style and gave us a glimpse of the new characters, including the twin alien beings that will be featured in the super hero-centric story. Now, we know their official names.

Guests Akio Iyoku (editor for Akira Toriyama/executive producer of Dragon Ball series) and Norihiro Hayashida (producer of TV animation and films for Dragon Ball series including Dragon Ball Super: BROLY) were at the panel to share us new details about Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and they revealed the official names of the twin alien characters, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2.

The characters were first revealed at San Diego Comic-Con at Home last July, and now we know a bit more about them even though the descriptions of their roles in the story haven't been revealed yet.

Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 were also featured in the new promotional image for the film, where Piccolo and Goku are sandwiched between them.
