Over the years, the
Dragon Ball
franchise introduced a lot of evil villains but many would consider Broly to be the meanest even before his canon debut in the upcoming
Dragon Ball Super: Broly
film. Now, one of the actors said that the film will show off how bad he is.
Masako Nozawa, the Japanese voice actress for Son Goku, recently went to the U.S. for her New York Comic Con appearance, and at the
Dragon Ball Super: Broly
panel, she talked about the film to the fans. During her appearance, Nozawa elaborated how the Saiyan villain is truly evil
"At first glance, there's not even a fragment worth liking or loving about this character. He is the epitome of a villain," Nozawa explained.
However, Nozawa added a bit of description that could hint that Broly has a redeeming quality, "But, maybe on a second thought, [there's] just a fragment."
In
Dragon Ball Z: Broly — The Legendary Super Saiyan
, Broly wasn't a complicated character; he was a straightforward evil villain without much backstory but series creator Akira Toriyama previously said that he's giving Broly a total makeover in the upcoming film, and the
recent trailer teased changes to his character's origin
.
