In January, Disney's live-action Tangled adaptation found its leads, Teagan Croft (Titans) as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim (Zombies) as Flynn Rider.
Considering that Kathryn Hahn had long been reportedly in talks to play the villainous Mother Gothel (with Scarlett Johansson initially being eyed for the role before being cast in The Batman Part II), the Agatha All Along star made it official in the most mothering way she could!
"Hey, OOTD. I just found out what that stands for. So here's my outfit of the day," Hahn said in the video posted (via Toonado) as she wore a Mother Gothel t-shirt, confirming fans' long-running suspicions, "Simple jeans, glasses, t-shirt. This is easy. You know, just another day."
Loosely based on Dame Gothel from the German fairy tale Rapunzel, Mother Gothel is a vain old woman who first discovered and hoarded the magical golden flower that could keep her alive for many years to come.
When the kingdom's ailing queen needed to harvest the flower to heal her, the powers were inherited by their beautiful young daughter, Rapunzel. That night, Gothel kidnaps the baby, imprisoning the princess in an isolated tower for eighteen years while posing as her mother to keep her powers safe all to herself.

The "manifestation" of Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel has been one of the most persistent fan-casting campaigns in recent Disney history.
Hahn, who recently starred in The Studio alongside Seth Rogen, has long been a fan-favorite choice to play Rapunzel's wicked stepmother, which stemmed from her performance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Agatha Harkness.
Not to mention, given her rendition of songs like Agatha All Along and The Ballad of the Witches' Road, fans absolutely cannot wait for her own version of the iconic Mother Knows Best in the film's original soundtrack!
