We all know for a fact that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has always been a family-friendly franchise but to its credit, it's been making some drastic changes to its product and pushing the envelope as of late in terms of maturity. However, that's not to say that Marvel Studios is operating without any sort of restriction because at the end of the day, Disney still wants to play it clean.
It turns out, the House of Mouse's namesake streaming service Disney+ has made some alterations to an "offensive" scene from the Iron Man 3 one-shot All Hail the King featuring the treacherous Trevor Slattery aka "fake" Mandarin.
In the said short centered on the beloved villain which was originally released in 2014, there's a scene where Slattery (played by Ben Kingsley) is seen in prison with his fellow inmates who welcome him with a mixed response.
The sequence where Slattery was greeted by an inmate "Hey, cracker! What's up?" has apparently been changed in the Disney+ version, removing the term "cracker" which is considered a racial slur.

Meanwhile, speaking of Iron Man, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron recently confirmed that there were actual plans for Tom Cruise to suit up as the multiversal version of Tony Stark but the idea was ultimately scrapped.
This pretty much confirms the long-standing rumors of the Top Gun actor finally making his way to the MCU and while the said cameo didn't happen, it pretty much hints that there could be a future waiting for Cruise in the billion-dollar franchise.
