Did She Jubi-LEAVE? Why Lana Condor's Jubilee Isn't in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

It seems like nobody is excited for Dark Phoenix, the finale of Fox's X-Men Quadrilogy with the First Class crew. The trailer looks like a straight-up remake of X-Men: The Last Stand, a movie that nobody wants to remember because it was so bad. Not helping is the fact that it's a follow up to X-Men: Apocalypse, which was considered mediocre by many due to its simple plot and bad special effects.

One character who appeared briefly but didn't get to fight was Jubilee, played by Lana Condor of To All The Boys I've Loved Before fame. She appears briefly, goes to the mall with Jean Grey, Scott Summers, and other characters before going home and staying there, not appearing in the final fight. Some fans were wondering if she would redeem herself in Dark Phoenix but that does not appear to be the case.

Condor told Collider that she was filming All The Boys when Dark Phoenix was shooting. That being said, the actress is hoping that more X-Men films are made since she would like to return as the pink shades-wearing mall rat that everyone loves.

"I hope X-Men lives on so hopefully in the future I'll be able to go back to that family because it's where I feel very indebted and loyal to. Yeah, it's been crazy because at this point, we haven't spoken [referring to Collider], I guess that was three years ago."

This won't be the last time we'll be seeing Condor in a comic book-related property as the actress is going to appear in SyFy's Deadly Class. The comic is a stellar bit of fiction so it'll be fun seeing it in live-action.

Dark Phoenix has been slated for release this June.
