As we've mentioned, there have been online rumors that Netflix tampered with the episodes of Volume Two of Stranger Things season 5, removing some scenes from the final cut.

It was allegedly done to keep the ratings within the TV-14 zone and shorten the length of the episodes. One of the scenes that was allegedly cut is a major moment between Will and Mike.

This led to a Change.org petition where fans are clamoring for Netflix to release the cut scenes from Volume Two. As of this writing, it has almost 300,000 signatures.

So far, neither Netflix nor The Duffer Brothers has commented on the rumors surrounding the alleged deleted scenes of the recent episodes.

However, Randy Havens, who plays Mr. Clarke in the series, has reacted to his recent post on Instagram Stories, where he disputed the claims from fans that there are deleted scenes in Volume Two.

"There’s no secret Snyder cut of the show. Don’t believe everything some random ass tells you on the internet," he wrote.

It would be interesting to see whether the rumor will continue in the upcoming final episode that will air in a few days, as the discourse intensifies on social media.

What to Expect in the Final Episode of Stranger Things

The final episode of Stranger Things will release on Netflix this coming New Year's Eve, December 31, at 5:00 p.m. PST.

So far, no trailer or logline has been unveiled yet for the show's highly anticipated finale, which is expected to have a runtime of more than 2 hours.

In the show's final season, set in the fall of 1987, Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished, with his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding.

As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming, and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone, the full party, standing together, one last time.
