Detective Pikachu is Getting a Graphic Novel Adaptation This June

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu has actually gotten a lot of positive press in recent months, thanks to impressive-looking Pokemon and some decent writing. The movie looks like it's going to be a lot of fun for people and we can only hope that it lives up to everyone's expectations. Well, it looks like Legendary is going to bring back an interesting tradition that hasn't been done in a while; a graphic novel adaptation of the movie.

That's right, we're going to get a graphic novel that details the events of the movie and will be out in June. This means that the movie will have shown already so those that want to re-experience the film but are too impatient to wait for a Blu-Ray release can buy the graphic novel. It's definitely a fun way to take part in a story people are already aware of.

Oddly enough, no creative team for the movie tie-in has been announced. This is a bit odd since those that might not be fans of Pokemon would probably check it out if the graphic novel had a good author or artist. We're not expecting Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp but we would like something cool to happen.
