The Swordsmith Village arc has just concluded but the franchise is already hyping up the next chapter. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 has been officially announced and the preview confirms that we'll be seeing the Hashira Training arc soon.
Demon Slayer Season 4 Announcement Video Brings Back The Hashiras
The official Demon Slayer Twitter account shared the announcement video for the fourth season. The brief teaser highlights the returning Hashiras who will play a major role in Demon Slayer Season 4.
In the video, the Hashiras show off their fighting stances. We get to see Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira who was also the first swordsmith introduced in the anime. He is joined by Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho, Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima, Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Snake Hashira Obanai Iguro.
Demon Slayer Season 4 will adapt the Hashira Training arc, the tenth story arc in Koyoharu Gotouge's manga. In this story arc, Tanjiro Kamado begins his training under the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima. Although the Hashira is tough on Tanjiro, he is determined to impress Gyomei and become powerful enough to take on Muzan Kibutsuji.
Speaking of Muzan, the demon is now more determined than ever to find Tanjiro's sister Nezuko Kamado who has mastered the sun. Muzan tries everything to locate Kagaya Ubuyashiki, making him more dangerous than ever.
In the Demon Slayer Season 3 finale, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Mitsuri worked together to defeat Hantengu. However, it also came at a price as the sun finally rose and Nezuko couldn't escape the sunlight.
Although Tanjiro mourned for his sister, it was ultimately revealed that Nezuko survived as she is no longer harmed by the sunlight. In addition to that, she can finally speak.
For now, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 4 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
