With the show’s first season ending in June, Delicious in Dungeon announced that the complete season will get special screenings in Japanese cinemas this June and July.
While it won’t be a wide release, the screenings will be split into two dates. The first will feature part 1 of the first season, and it will take place in June.
Meanwhile, the second part will be screened in July. Along with these screenings, there will also be stage events featuring the show’s staff.
Delicious in Dungeon Announces Japanese Cinema Screenings of the Entire Season
Delicious in Dungeon is the latest anime by Trigger, the studio behind hit shows such as Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Kill la Kill.
While it premiered in the winter 2024 season, the show continued in spring as it’s a two-cour show.
Since it premiered, the anime has become a big hit, with the show getting lots of views and generating discussions every time a new episode gets released.
Thus, it’s no surprise that the show’s first season will be celebrated with two screening events happening at Tachikawa Cinema City in Tokyo.
The first screening will happen on June 15, 2024, at 10 PM. There, fans will be able to watch all episodes of season 1’s first half.
Given that the fantasy anime's first 12 episodes are four hours long in total, it’ll be interesting to see if the screening will show a special cut, as is the case with compilation films.
Of course, it’s also possible that it will just screen the episodes sequentially, as fans interested in watching this will no doubt be willing to spend four hours in the theater.
As for the second part of season 1, the screening will take place on July 13, 2024, at the same venue.
Both screenings will feature special stage events, leading some to believe that a potential second-season announcement might be made.

Ahead of the first screening, a stage event will happen that will feature series director Yoshihiro Miyajima and character designer Naoki Takeda.
The second screening will also feature a special stage event, though there’s no word yet on who the guests will be. Chances are that the anime’s voice cast will be there.
Many anime get stage events after a season has ended. New season announcements are also usually made in events like these.
Therefore, it’s possible that the second screening in July will see the anime’s second season announced, which won’t be surprising given how well-received the show has been.
