Charles Soule has done a lot of things since arriving in Marvel; he wrote an underrated She-Hulk series that got rave reviews, pit the Inhumans against the X-Men (with help from Jeff Lemire), and is about to kill Daredevil. Before he ends the Man Without Fear, Soule also killed Wolverine but is currently in the process of bringing him back via the Return of Wolverine series that just launched.
It turns out Soule isn't quite done with Wolverine yet. What else can you do with a character that you personally killed and brought back? Take him through a decades-spanning journey as it turns out.
Soule will be writing a 12-issue storyline tentatively called Wolverine - The Vigil, which will be told through the recently announced Marvel Comics Presents anthology. While not formally announced by Marvel Comics, Soule himself said it to his fans via his newsletter. He also revealed that comic book artist Paulo Siqueira will be illustrating the book, which is always good news to hear.
Fans who have been following Soule's comic book career knows he's a busy man. At one point he was writing multiple titles for both Marvel and DC at the same time, before deciding to sign an exclusive contract with the former. Since arriving in Marvel, Soule has taken over the Darth Vader series and is now in the process of killing Daredevil.
Marvel Comics Presents #1 comes out this January.
