Deathstroke Actor Joe Manganiello Would Like to Play Kraven the Hunter for Spider-Man

We were introduced to Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke back in 2017's Justice League, but since that film bombed, we have no idea when we're going to see the character again. For now, it looks like Manganiello is taking a leaf out of Henry Cavill's book and keeping himself busy. Just in, he's expressed interest in playing the next possible big bad for Spider-Man—Kraven the Hunter.

Talking to Lights, Camera, Pod, Manganiello gives this passionate rant about how Kraven's Last Hunt is a story too good not to put into cinema. Then when he was asked if he would play Kraven, Manganiello said: "Kraven? Are you kidding me? That would be, like, a dream role."

While there hasn't been any official announcement, Spider-Man: Far from Home director Jon Watts has expressed that he would love to do Kraven as the next villain if he should make another Spider-Man movie. There is this rumor going around, however, that there's an idea that Kraven is going to be written as an exile of Wakanda, which means they could be looking for a black actor to take on the role.

Then again, Manganiello could look fierce if he wanted to. And not to mention he's already played a Spider-Man villain before; back in 2002, he was Tobey Maguire's high school bully, Flash Thompson:

After the solid casting of Mysterio, there's now a lot more pressure for Marvel/Sony to deliver with a third Spider-Man movie. It's possible that we're getting worried over nothing, but I'm sure everyone wants to see the MCU Spidey flourish so Sony could stop with their ridiculous SUMC concept.
