In light of Kristen Bell's 'tone-deaf' wedding anniversary post, an old Hit and Run interview they did for SheKnows resurfaced on the internet, which enraged online viewers even more.

The interview included Bell's husband, Dax Shepard, telling distasteful, violent jokes to the outlet.

Just days after Bell faced backlash for her anniversary post during Domestic Violence Awareness month, the couple's interview on SheKnows, while doing press for their 2012 movie, Hit and Run, resurfaced online.

In the clip, Bell recalled getting into a car with Shepard after he spent two years "souping it up."

"He was so excited. We drove to brunch, and the first thing I said, five minutes into the ride, I said, 'This sounds like it's gonna break,'" Bell told the outlet.

Shepard deadpanned that he was "very offended" at the time, only to add an off-color joke about striking Bell.

"And then I hit her several times," Shepard joked, which led Bell to add cheekily, "And then I got beat up, and guess what — I never opened my mouth again."

The reporter then told the couple that they had "quite the interesting relationship."

How Has Kristen Bell Reacted to Recent Developments on Her 'Tone-Deaf' Post?

What was supposed to be a simple 12th wedding anniversary post turned into something more controversial than the Frozen star may have realized.

As the 45-year-old actress shared an Instagram photo of her and Shepard hugging, her caption turned online viewers off, "Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: 'I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I'm heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.' [Heart emoji]."

Instagram users dragged Bell for posting the message in October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

"Just an FYI, posting this caption during domestic violence awareness month is unbelievably tone deaf :/ please reconsider," one person commented on the post.

Another chimed in to say, "That's a wildly sad and insensitive thing to say, considering it's domestic violence awareness month and thousands of women have died at the hands of the man they trusted..."

A Domestic Violence Advocacy group even blasted Bell for the insensitive post, as they noted there is "nothing funny about domestic violence 'jokes'" as everyone has the "responsibility to support victims and survivors" and "speak about this issue with the seriousness it deserves."

Needless to say, instead of addressing the post, Bell had only limited the comments on her Instagram.
