There's a lot of anticipation for Star Wars Resistance, the next animated series based on the popular franchise. Fans were also happy to see Dave Filoni involved in the series since he was part of the team who made Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels, both of which are very popular with fans.
However, he recently told IGN that he isn't as involved with the series as he was with Clone Wars and Rebels. The producer is still involved in the show in some capacity, offering notes and his thoughts on certain elements but he's not always working on Resistance.
As expected, he is very hands-on with the upcoming final season of Clone Wars, which made many fans happy when it was announced back in SDCC. The original series didn't end as well as anyone wanted so Filoni is more than happy to finish the series the way he wants.
Filoni apparently trusts the people behind Resistance so we can only hope that the show's quality is up to the standard of various Star Wars animated projects. These are big parts of the lore's canon after all so it has to be taken seriously.
Star Wars Resistance is slated for a release sometime in 2018, though we don't know when exactly.
