Craig Robinson may not be quitting comedy after all, as his "announcement" was all part of a marketing campaign.

Last week, The Office vet made an announcement on social media that he has retired from comedy to pursue a new career endeavor. Fans have been wondering what's next for him, but as it turns out, it's not true after all, and it's just part of an advertisement for a major company.

Is Craig Robinson Really Quitting Comedy?

Robinson's "announcement" regarding quitting comedy was all just part of a marketing campaign for AT&T Business.

A commercial was recently released that showed Robinson attempting to start a small business with his The Office co-stars Ellie Kemper and Oscar Nuñez.

Billboards featuring the graphic "Craig Robinson is Quitting Comedy" have also appeared around Los Angeles, which made some fans suspicious before it was revealed to be a marketing tease.

Fans of Robinson should no longer worry, as his retirement announcement was just part of a clever marketing ploy for the company, and he has no intention to leave the comedy world anytime soon.

As Variety pointed out, Robinson has stand-up shows scheduled around the United States over the next several weeks, further proving that he has not quit comedy.

What Did Craig Robinson Say in His 'Retirement' Announcement?

When Robinson made the "announcement" that he was quitting comedy, he explained at the time that it was to pursue his "true calling."
