In his post on Instagram, Robinson confirmed to his fans that he has officially retired from comedy to pursue his "true calling."
He wrote in his caption, "Life update: I’m officially quitting comedy to focus on my true calling. Stay tuned. I’m working on something huge."
"Hey, everybody! Just wanted you to hear it from me: I am quitting comedy. But not for nothing. It’s been an amazing run, and y’all have been amazing and wonderful, but I’m following something bigger. So, thank you so much, I love you, and stay tuned," Robinson said in the video.
He didn't disclose the details of which different career path he is pursuing now, whether it's a different side of the show business, outside the show business, or potentially focusing on dramatic roles.
Several of Robinson's colleagues in the industry have expressed support for his announcement in the comments of his post, including Howie Mandel, Arsenio Hall, and The Office co-star Kate Flannery.
In a follow-up post, Robinson seemingly teased his next career endeavor and asked his followers for tips on keeping a business afloat.

While Robinson has officially quit comedy, there are other upcoming releases that he worked on prior to his retirement that fans could look forward to.
