Cooper Hoffman has set the record straight on his rumored casting as Cyclops in the X-Men MCU reboot.
For the last several weeks, we've been hearing rumors about the actors Marvel Studios is eyeing to cast in their highly anticipated X-Men movie. So far, no official announcement has been made, but fan discussions and speculations online are persisting as they wait for the news.
Now, one of the rumored stars is addressing his alleged involvement.
Is Cooper Hoffman Playing Cyclops in the X-Men MCU Reboot?

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight during the red carpet premiere of his new film I Want Your Sex, Cooper Hoffman was asked about the rumors that he is playing Cyclops in Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot.
He shot down the speculations that he will be playing the beloved mutant, but he expressed his love for the X-Men property.
"Not going to be me, but I love the X-Men. Not for any reason, it’s just not. I don’t know where this came from. S*** spreads!" the actor said
When asked whether he would be interested in joining the franchise, Hoffman responded, "Of course. They don’t, but I wish they did! I love X-Men. I’ve been watching it since I was a kid. It would be such an honor."
Despite what the rumors might say, it looks like Hoffman won't likely play Cyclops when we meet the MCU version in the reboot (unless the talks are also under wraps and he is not allowed to share the discussions).
Nevertheless, fans are looking forward to seeing which actors they'll cast to play the X-Men members. Hopefully, we will finally hear the official announcement sooner rather than later.
What to Expect in the X-Men MCU Reboot

So far, plot details for the X-Men MCU reboot are still under wraps, and it is expected to take place sometime after Avengers: Secret Wars.
Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is currently attached to helm the project. Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and The Bear co-showrunner Joanna Calo are writing the screenplay.
Last year, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave a tease on what fans should expect from their reboot of the X-Men property.
"We had a great experience with him on Thunderbolts*. And if you saw that movie, what he did with those character interactions, he also has his pulse on, shall we say, a younger demographic," he said.
"He’s younger than me for sure, but he’s tapped into that in a way that I think was important for Thunderbolts*, much more important for X-Men. Because X-Men, as it was in the comics, will be a very youth-oriented, focused, and cast movie."
