The final match in Sekai Takai ended with an all-out brawl that was commenced by the Udar Tigra dojo, which was eliminated when four of its students tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

An intense fight happened between all the students, senseis, and the judges of the competition. During the brawl, Kreese lost his eunjangdo which he originally intended to kill Terry Silver.

Cobra Kai student Kwon found the eunjangdo and was planning to use it against Axel when they were fighting.

However, Axel managed to counter the attack when Kwon was about to use the eunjangdo against him. Kwon fell on the knife and accidentally stabbed himself in the chest.

Everyone surrounding Kwon was shocked as they saw him bleed to death. Gunther yelled at the camera crew to stop the live stream feed.

What Will Happen in Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 After Kwon's Death?

In an interview with Tudum, Cobra Kai co-showrunner Jon Hurwitz addressed their decision to kill off Kwon in the finale of the sixth season's second part and how shooting the scene was melancholic on set.

"We really got to love Brandon Lee, who plays Kwon. Not only is he a tremendous multi-world champion karate figure, he’s a tremendously charismatic performer and brought more life to Kwon than we could have imagined," he said.

"Every time he’s on-screen, he really pulls you in with his devilish mindset. He’s having fun being the bad guy. You just want to spend more time with that character up until the moment that he dies."

When it comes to the final five episodes, Hurwitz explained that Kwon's deaths will have major ramifications moving forward and will affect the fate of the characters' future.

He added, "After all the craziness, after 35 minutes straight of martial arts, a young kid died. Kreese brought a knife to a karate tournament with kids. Is that acceptable, even in [Silver’s] bad guy world? No, it’s not. I think that will propel us into the last five [episodes]."
