Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 2 Plot
Chicago PD Season 9 Episode 2 is titled "Rage." When a P.D. informant is murdered, the team digs in to track down the perpetrator only to learn a shocking truth. Voight and Ruzek strategize to help Burgess.
What will happen to Kim after she survived?
The viewers can expect an emotional episode as Kim slowly returns to her work after her recovery. In the trailer released after the premiere episode, Kim looks like she has fully recovered. However, it seemed that her pals do not want her to risk her life again.
"If you're not okay that's okay," Adam Voight (Patrick Flueger) tells her.
"You want to push me into a desk job?" Kim asks him.
Although some of her pals want Kim to be safe by having her do desk jobs following the life-threatening encounter, a few are willing to support her. The viewers who have been following Kim in the series are pretty sure that she will not be happy doing a desk job.
"Before you try any decisions, you gotta try and do the job again," Hank Voight says (Jason Beghe) says.
Is Kim really doing well?
Although Kim looks fine physically, she seems not okay emotionally and psychologically. In the trailer, she looks really upset.
There are rumors that she developed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after the last incident that almost killed her. Thus, it will be safer for her and her colleagues if she takes the desk job until she recovers fully.
Also, in a previous interview, Squerciati (Kim) hinted about her emotional and psychological state.
"[Kim is] really affected in the beginning. Whatever she is suffering though, she's put a mask on in front of her kid, which is something we all do … But she is fighting a darker side of herself and that's winning," she told Hello!
Chicago PD airs every Wednesday at 10/9c on NBC.
