Fans are missing Sylvie Brett, Matt Casey's girlfriend, in Chicago Fire Season 10. Brett left the firehouse for a short time to see Casey, and it's unknown when she'll return. We now have a prediction: we won't see her again until the season finale.

Did Sylvie Brett leave Chicago Fire Season 10?

Fans are worried that Sylvie Brett would leave Chicago Fire Season 10. She actually left to see Matt Casey, her boyfriend who quit his job at the fire station to care for the late Andy Darden's children in Oregon.

So far, Brett and Casey are attempting to make their long-distance romance work — but this has necessitated Brett temporarily leaving her paramedic job.

But don’t worry – she’ll be back.

“It would have felt like cheating after having them building that relationship over so many seasons, and then just throwing it away because of production demand,” showrunner Derek Haas told Variety about Casey and Brett.

“So, we thought it was realistic, especially in this day and age, that people can keep a relationship going. It’s been fun for us because we love Casey so much as writers that we want him to keep his presence.”

So, when can fans expect to see Brett again? According to CinemaBlend, other cast members in Episodes 18 and 19 said Brett would return after a month, so it's unclear how many episodes this means.

Matt Casey is expected to return in the Chicago Fire Season 10 finale

Matt Casey's performer, Jesse Spencer, desired a change of pace in his life and work. As a result, he opted to leave Chicago Fire Season 10. Derek Haas, on the other hand, made it clear that Casey is free to return whenever he wishes. Fans may see Casey at the finale, according to rumors.

“That would be a coup for our show if we could talk Jesse into coming back,” Haas told TVLine. “So, status on that is all systems looking good. And yes, I talked to him last week so I’m very hopeful that that’s going happen.”
