In an interview on Billy Bush's Hot Mics show (via EW), Hines was asked about the current state of her friendship with David in today's political climate, considering the differences in their views.

"I haven't talked to him in a while," the actress responded.

When Bush asked whether they last spoke in the premiere of the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hines said, "Yeah, probably."

Bush noted, "I mean, he loved you from the beginning. You said, 'This is the greatest audition and greatest moment of my life' when you got this."

"I love Larry, and I think Larry loves me," Hines responded. "I think it's just politics, it makes conversations..." However, she wasn't able to finish her thought since Bush moved on to another topic.

So far, David has not responded to Hines' comments about the current state of their friendship.

Is Larry David Working on Another TV Show After Curb Your Enthusiasm?

David is currently developing a sketch comedy series for HBO in collaboration with Barack and Michelle Obama, who will serve as executive producers.

He will serve as the star and executive producer of the series. He also co-created the project with Curb Your Enthusiasm collaborator Jeff Schaffer.

The logline of the project states: "President and Mrs. Obama wanted to honor America’s 250th anniversary and celebrate the unique history of our nation on this special occasion… But then Larry David called."

Aside from David, the cast is expected to include some of the familiar names from Curb Your Enthusiasm and other guest stars. It remains to be seen whether Hines is one of the Curb Your Enthusiasm alumni who will be invited to join the series.
