Star Trek: Discovery is on its way to season two, and while the cast and crew are busy filming the next batch of episodes of the Star Trek series, CBS is busy trying to satiate the Star Trek fanbase with new behind-the-scenes photos from taken from the set of the very first season of the series.
Taking to Twitter to celebrate World Photography Day, CBS just recently released new photos the studio calls its favorite candid moments from season 1 of Star Trek Discovery.
Check it out down here:
Not only do we get an image showing Doug Jones in prosthetics and make-up as the Kelpian Commanding Officer of the USS Discovery, Saru, massaging Sonequa Martin-Green's (Michael Burnham) shoulders.
Michaelle Yeoh also has a candid photo of herself as Captain Georgio in the captain's chair. Meanwhile, one photo shows Jason Isaacs (Captain Gabriel Lorca) going online while Shazad Latiff and Mary Chieffo (L'rRell) read their scripts.
The last photo in the set has Wilson Cruz and Anthony Rap at work, acting a tender moment between their characters, medical officer Hugh Culber and science officer Paul Stamets.
Though these new pictures don't really give away anything new about the upcoming season of the series, they do show the bond the cast has made while working on the first season of Star Trek Discovery. We definitely can't wait to see what the second season has in store for us though!
Star Trek Discovery returns with its second season on CBS sometime in 2019.
