The Doctor and Ruby Hijack Finetime's Technology
The Doctor (played by Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) are trying to reach out to Lindy Pepper-Bean (Callie Cooke) through the same social network 'bubble', the same bubble that can be seen virtually surrounding her head.
The bubble in question here is Finetime's technology, which allows all forms of social interaction and communication (including their two-hour work a day) to be available at their fingertips. It also works as a navigator as it tells Lindy where to go.
In the middle of her routine, the Doctor and Ruby surprisingly hacked into her system to warn her about a monster looming right behind her and her friends.
This, however, doesn't alert Lindy since she's not friends with the main protagonists. Lindy finds it quite bewildering to hear Ruby tell her to check whether her colleague is actually working in the same room as her.
Ruby suggests, "I mean, you could lower your bubble" which doesn't convince Lindy, considering it would mean turning it off instead of sticking to the program. But the 'bubble' in question here means more than that.

The Meaning of 'Bubble' in Doctor Who's Dot and Bubble Episode
The 'bubble' in Doctor Who season 14 episode 6 titled Dot and Bubble is what Finetime's technology is called.
Once Lindy sees a glimpse of a strange creature through her 'bubble' without turning it off, she commands the technology, "Bubble, down. Dot, off." The 'dot', on the other hand, seems to be the surveillance system that would allow her to project the said 'bubble' around her head.
The 'bubble' in the Doctor Who episode also holds a symbolic meaning.
When the Doctor and Ruby advise her to turn off her bubble, Lindy reveals she doesn't know how to walk without the device's help.
The episode shows Lindy is an ignorant elitist of an influencer who would rather choose to rely on what she's grown used to (in this case, Finetime's bubbled forcefield city and her network) rather than face the horrifying phenomenon of her friends being eaten alive in alphabetical order.
As much as the Doctor wants to help them in the end, Lindy brushes off the Doctor by saying, "You, sir, are not one of us." Not as rich and of course, a subtle hint of discrimination as this is the first time the Doctor is portrayed other than being a white person in the series.
