The highly-anticipated DCU series Booster Gold has received a surprising production update as fans are waiting to see the project come to fruition.
Early last year, DC Studios chairmen James Gunn and Peter Safran announced Booster Gold as one of the TV series that they are developing as part of the DCU franchise.
However, since then, we haven't heard any significant updates about the progress of the project, especially in the casting of the role and the showrunner who will lead the project.

Booster Gold to Reportedly Begin Filming This July, Actor Already Cast
According to a recent production listing, Booster Gold is currently scheduled to start filming on July 8 in Los Angeles.
A rumor also suggested that the titular hero has already been cast, but there are no details on which actor DC Studios tapped to play the role.
So far, DC Studios has not confirmed the claims that were made in the report.
Considering the lack of updates regarding the project from the official reports and Gunn's social media, it is surprising to hear that the series might potentially begin filming this summer since it shows that the project might already be in pre-production at this point.
Since it will be the official live-action introduction of the fan-favorite character, there is a lot of anticipation for the series and hope that it will live up to expectations.
There have also been speculations that he could team up with Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle since the two heroes notably have partnered in the comics and fans are also clamoring to see them together in the same project.
For now, let's wait for any confirmation from DC Studios regarding the development of Booster Gold.
