Marvel Studios' Deadpool threequel has yet to grace the big screen, but Blake Lively already pitched the perfect Deadpool and Wolverine sequel she has in mind.
During the promotion of the Merc with the Mouth and the yellow-suited mutant's comeback, the upcoming It Ends With Us star popped an idea right for Marvel to see.
Blake Lively Pitches Hilarious Deadpool & Wolverine Sequel After Waterfight Stunt
While promoting their upcoming Marvel debut in Seoul, South Korea, Ryan Reynolds couldn't help goofing off with co-star Hugh Jackman in a game of a water fun fight at the 2024 Waterbomb Festival on Friday, July 5.
Who could blame him, when MCU fans have longed to see this day come true? What could be more fun than being paid to promote your movie while having the "greatest vacation of your lives"?
Reynolds' wife, Blake Lively, however, was not going to let her husband's antics slip by, as she posted a hilarious Deadpool & Wolverine sequel title on her Instagram Story.
On Blake's Instagram Story, she captioned the video of Reynolds and Jackman water-gunning the crowd, "When he tells you he's going to work and then you see him on MTV Spring Break," before jokingly suggesting that Marvel may have found an idea for the sequel: "Boys Gone Wild: A Deadpool & Wolverine Story."
Even though this is merely a joke about Reynolds being in "serious trouble" with his wife, it also shows Blake's support in watching their success unfold at Marvel.
It probably wouldn't be far-fetched to say that a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel could be in the works as soon as the Merc's threequel earns its spot upon its theatrical release.
Considering that DP and Wolverine practically did go wild jumping into the Multiverse, the sequel could explore an expansion of their authority over the sacred timeline.
Here's to hoping this won't be the last time the ketchup and mustard duo will hop on the big screens.
