Wesley Snipes is easily one of the most intimidating and feared stars in Hollywood and the public perception of the actor has a lot to do with the allegations thrown at him. For instance, there's been a long-standing rumor that the former Marvel actor and lead star of the Blade series wreaked havoc on the set of Blade Trinity and according to one of his co-stars Patton Oswalt, he even strangled director David S. Goyer.

November of last year, Snipes finally addressed the accusations he's facing 16 years after the final Blade film came out, and naturally, he dismissed all of the rumors surrounding his alleged attitude on set. Now, Goyer himself is breaking his silence regarding the issue and while he didn't exactly confirm the strangulation incident, his latest statement seems to carry some weight.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Goyer seemingly confirmed that there was indeed trouble on set involving him and Snipes whom he now describes as a former friend. Goyer says: "Let's just say I have tremendous respect for Wesley as an actor. He used to be a friend. We're not friends anymore. I am friends with Patton, and I worked with Patton since, so … I don't think anyone involved in that film had a good experience on that film. Certainly, I didn't. I don't think anybody involved with that film is happy with the results. It was a very tortured production."

It's quite unfortunate that the on-set incident completely tarnished Goyer and Snipes' working relationship and friendship and it's not looking like they'll be able to patch things up anytime soon. But hey, you know what they say, time heals all wounds and there may still be a chance for reconciliation between the two.

Meanwhile, no official release date has been announced for the MCU's Blade reboot which is currently in development.
