Bill Maher isn't particularly impressed with Stan Lee's legacy. The Politically Incorrect host trashed comic book culture and disrespected the Marvel icon's contribution to the world just a few days after Lee's death.
Maher posted his unconventional opinion on his blog. Although it appears that the Real Time with Bill Maher host was sorry about Lee's passing, he couldn't help but diss comic book fans.
Maher continues by pointing out that in recent times, "adults decided they didn't have to give up kid stuff" and "pretended comic books were actually sophisticated literature." The comedian then insinuated that these people are not ready to do "grown-up things." He concludes the rant with a shocking mention of the President.
Needless to say, Marvel fans are seething over the disrespect of Lee and the comic book culture. In the meantime, Maher has yet to comment on people's reaction to his post.
Lee passed away on November 12. He was 95 years old.
