The film industry suffered a major blow following the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cinemas are also gravely affected by the situation and a lot of them were forced to shut down temporarily, some permanently while waiting for the pandemic to subside.

Now, Justice League star Ben Affleck discussed the future of cinema post-pandemic. The Batman actor believes that theaters will focus on big films like Avengers and Wonder Woman instead of mid-budget films. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly. here's what Affleck had to say:

While we're still not certain when the pandemic ends and what transpires in the world of film after it, Affleck raises a pretty valid argument but when you think about it, you really can't blame the moviegoers should they choose to watch the franchise juggernauts over the low to mid-budget projects once the dust settles. At the end of the day, it cannot be denied that most fans are still after entertainment over substance and I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
