Fans can't help but think about how the current circumstances have forced Nebula and Rocket to let their guard down and be vulnerable for once in Avengers: Endgame.
If you recall, you see the two looking very glum in the new special look released for the film. They are the only remaining Guardians left after Thanos decimated half of life in the universe after the snap, so it looks like they will be helping each other out to ease the burden.
From the looks of it, the tragedy has brought them closer together in Avengers: Endgame. Reddit fans couldn't help but both be sad and in awe of this turn of events especially since in one of their first interactions, Nebula hated the idea of being left alone with the "fox."
Nebula and Rocket can be full of pride and arrogant sometimes. They rarely show weakness, but seeing them briefly in the new trailer absolutely crushed by the sad loss, really hits home to fans. Many people think the development that these characters went through is just beautiful.

A lot of fans are impressed by how Nebula grew into the character she is now. When we first see her in Guardians of the Galaxy, it was easy for a lot of people to see her as just another villain thirsty for blood.
However, as we learned more and more about her story, it became very difficult not to love her. Fans are counting on Thanos meeting his demise at the hands of Nebula in Avengers: Endgame.
As for Rocket, we know he always had a soft spot for Groot. He had to deal with losing him twice now, and it clearly hasn't been easy.
Hopefully, we get some heartfelt moments between Nebula and Rocket in the film. However, knowing how difficult it is for these two to open up and share feelings, it will probably be awkward.
The synopsis for Avengers: Endgame reads:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame hits the cinemas April 26.
