While Marvel fans might be expecting Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and the rest of the remaining Avengers to undo Thanos' massacre in Avengers: Endgame, they aren't entirely sure how the team is going to do it. Sure, there might be the element of time travel involved, but how exactly are the Avengers going to prevent Thanos from snapping his damn fingers again?

A new theory on Reddit tries to guess the Avengers game plan, suggesting that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) knew the answer all along which is why he gave up the Time Stone, allowing himself and half of the living population of the universe to turn into dust in Avengers: Infinity War.

It doesn't sound too farfetched, though it's also very likely that Marvel will go down a different path in Endgame. Despite the many trailers and leaked images for the film, we know very little about Endgame. Will any of the original Avengers have to sacrifice their lives to undo Thanos' massacre? What mode of time travel will the team use? Will all of those who died at the hand of Thanos return once the Avengers undo the massacre?

There are still so many questions surrounding the film, and we don't expect Marvel to give out any answer any time soon.

Avengers: Endgame makes its big premiere April 26, 2019.
