Avengers: Endgame Director Mocks Black Widow Death Complaints By Joining Tiktok Trend

Avengers: Endgame may seem far away now since the biggest crossover film premiered back in 2019, and yet MCU fans continue to express their disagreement with Black Widow’s (Scarlett Johansson) death ahead of her own solo film, Black Widow (2021). However, the Endgame director Joe Russo has taken to Tiktok what he has to say about the protest.

On Tiktok, posted under @agbofilms, Joe Russo is seen alone in his trailer with the caption, “I’ll never forgive you for k!ll!ng Natasha [Romanoff]!” to represent the main complaints from MCU fans on Black Widow's unfortunate endgame. You can watch the Tiktok video here.

While the director is seemingly ‘sulking’ along with the caption, he goes on to mimic playing ‘the smallest violin in the world’ like in one episode in Spongebob where Mr. Krabs did do that. But the Tiktok trend is meant to ‘mock’ the statement they present on screen.

Given that Marvel had barely opened up more about developing Natasha Romanoff’s storyline, it is only natural that fans are continuously against her sudden death, especially seeing as it was Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) who was in a more suitable position to leave the MCU as compared to his friend.

We do get to see Natasha again in her prequel solo film, although it didn’t really address much of what her arc lacked in the MCU. We had yet to see her at her full potential and yet was never given the chance to do just that. As of now, it would seem that the Russo brothers and Marvel are in no way planning to bring back Black Widow. Though it is possible for a variant of hers in the near future, with the multiverse concept ongoing in the MCU, the ‘original’ Natasha we had grown up with may no longer be able to redeem herself anytime soon.
