Last weekend saw the reveal that Kamala Khan was going to be playable for Square Enix's Avengers: Game, and she's going to have a modern take of her superhero outfit from the comics. An actual suit was in display at the New York Comic-Con, and it has some very interesting details that could pass it for an MCU-approved costume.
Check it out:
Admittedly, Ms. Marvel's outfit in the comics is very simple, but the suit for the game kind of goes the extra mile. The game designers have found a way to give it some more ethnic flair, and you can feel some of Kamala's Pakistani heritage being reflected in the outfit. I love how the "S" folds over her shirt, and I think it's cool that they just gave her the one gold band of a bracelet with the nice patterns.
We don't know how this suit will come into play in the game, but I'm guessing it's something Kamala can just build for herself. I mean, not everyone needs a suit that's provided by Tony Stark.
I'm very excited to see the game bring Kamala to life. She's a very fun character, and this could serve as a fun introduction for her as Marvel is developing her show for Disney+. Let's hope this version doesn't disappoint.
A self-avowed Avengers fan, in the game's original story, Kamala Khan must apply her intellect, optimism, and unique abilities to the task of unravelling a global conspiracy.
Catch Square Enix's Avengers game when it comes out on May 15, 2020.
