Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein opened up about her potential live-action involvement in the Star Wars franchise.

The actress has been a long staple in the franchise thanks to her beloved voice role as the fan-favorite Jedi character. She remains attached to the role up to this day as Star Wars continues to release more animated projects.

While she didn't reprise the role in live-action, some fans are still hoping that Eckstein might still make her way to that space at some point and take the shot at playing a different character.

In a recent interview, Eckstein was asked whether she is interested in playing a live-action character in the Star Wars franchise.

"I feel like I wouldn't be a Star Wars fan without thinking about this. So I want to preface this answer by saying I leave this to Dave Filoni. I've always left story ideas to Dave Filoni. So I'm prefacing this by saying I'm speaking as a fan, but of course, I would love to appear in live action in some way," she said.

"My background is in live-action. So I think it's really funny, all the fan comments that say, 'Oh, well, she's just a voice actress.' No, the majority of my career has been on stage or on camera. So of course I would love to appear in live action in any way."

Eckstein revealed that she would like to play the daughter from Mortis in live-action if she gets an opportunity.

"But it's funny, Rosario Dawson was essentially fan-cast as Ahsoka, and it worked. I'll throw out my fan idea, and I don't know if it would work, but I think a cool connection, I'd love to appear as the daughter from Mortis," she added.

"There is a connection with Ahsoka. The daughter gave up her life for Ahsoka. So I think that could be pretty cool in some way. But I also want to preface by saying whatever cool idea I have, Dave Filoni always has a cooler idea."

Many fans would be happy if Eckstein eventually jumped to live-action and joined the cast of the second season of Ahsoka, which is the most likely project that she could land on.

Whether it's a cameo or supporting role, having Eckstein be part of a live-action project would be exciting news for fans and, hopefully, it will happen sooner than later.
