Lanterns Episode 5, “Lights Out,” featured a fight like no other as the battle against the Manhunter began. The show finally revealed who the real Manhunter was, and the villain was ultimately caught by John (Aaron Pierre).
But while the hit HBO series featured their death, it looks like fans aren’t really convinced that the Manhunters are gone for good in Lanterns.

Are the Manhunters Really Dead in Lanterns?
As a brutal fight between John and Hal (Kyle Chandler) erupted at the motel, Zoe (Poorna Jagannathan), who was revealed to be the Manhunter, attacked with a satellite laser, causing John to disappear while Hal was left behind and pinned under the wreckage.
Thinking John had intentionally left Hal behind after having a deal with him, Zoe arrived at the rubble with a gun, ready to kill the veteran Green Lantern.
However, John had only used Hal as bait to lure the Manhunter out, holding a sniper rifle nearby and ready to attack.
He shot Zoe in the head that ultimately resulted in her death. He then ripped out her heart, which eventually crystallized, confirming that she was indeed the Manhunter.
But while this proved that Zoe was really gone, fans believe she may not be the only Manhunter in Rushville, Nebraska, especially after she talked to her grandson, Noah (Cary Christopher), before she left the ranch.
Is Noah Another Manhunter in Lanterns?
Fans believe there is something really special about Zoe’s grandson and Sheriff Kerry Kane’s (Kelly Macdonald) son, Noah.
Just before the battle, Zoe told Noah to carry on with everything she had taught him.
Kerry’s praise for her son, not to mention her evident desperation when she told Hal that she “owes” Zoe a lot, appeared as if it wasn’t just his life he owed Zoe after she saved him from the bad guys when she was young.
Judging by how it sounded, it looked like Zoe had made a miracle happen for Kerry, just like what she did for William.
It is also worth noting that during the confrontation between William and alien leader Antaan (Paul Ben-Victor), it was revealed that Zoe had a plan to breed with the species she infiltrated.
So, by the looks of it, besides her survival, it was also Zoe’s mission to make sure her kind survived. This means there may still be a Manhunter, or even multiple Manhunters, lurking in Rushville who have yet to be revealed.
With three episodes still to go, more secrets may soon be unveiled.
